#3 Suspected Brown Recluse Bite On The Leg

10 month old leg wound. Source of bite is unknown.
Brown Recluse Spider was suspected.

Surgery was used to remove the affected area

One month after surgery the venom was still present
and the venom reactivated resulting an advancing tissue necrosis.
Frustrated, Bill C. Reached out in an email to consult with Dr. Stanley Abrams.
“As you can see, I feel that the surgery was the wrong thing to do and so I don’t want to do another.
I have now found a guy at one of the California Universities who is a bug man and is trying to convince me that I don’t have a Brown Recluse Spider (bite) because they don’t live in Florida.
This is fine, but it is the one clear direction I have had in nearly a year. This has given me something to cling to. Any advise or help will be greatly appreciated.”
– Bill C.
Dr. Abrams told him about the venom desensitizer. Then lost touch with the patient.
“More proof surgery is not the answer” – Dr. Stanley Abrams, MD
