Crystal Whitten, PhD, MS

CEO – VenomX

Crystal Whitten is a retired professor, neuroscientist, and author/ writer. She taught at Loma Linda University (LLU) as well as several other universities. While teaching full-time at LLU, one day per week she joined the practice of Robert P. Iacono, MD, FACS (1955-2007), a neurosurgeon who specialized in treating Parkinson’s disease. During her tenure there, she learned about functional and orthomolecular approaches to treating chronic degenerative neurological conditions using nutrition and an arsenal of supplements to either reverse their condition or prolong the amount of time until surgery was needed.

She completed her dissertation research in a neuro-toxicology lab where she used real living neural networks to record activity in real time examining the effects of ketosis on healthy and “epileptic” neural networks. Her research contributed to better understanding biological corrections and the mechanisms of ketosis in calming hyper-excitable neural networks common to many seizure disorders.

She specializes in functional and integrative nutritional approaches as well as orthomolecular and epigenetic approaches to reversing illness and achieving wellness. She prefers to use natural approaches to achieving health and wellness but feels oftentimes a mix of natural and allopathic (traditional Western medicine) methods are often necessary. Her philosophy is to make the body so healthy it cannot harbor disease.

She has published two books: 1.) Country Living, and 2.) Praise, Claim God’s Promises and Pray Your Way to Victory. A third book is scheduled to be published before the end of 2022, Potluck, which is a collection of about 750 mid-level gourmet plant-based recipes.

Her favorite activities include international travel, time at the beach, hanging out with friends, helping animals, experimenting with plant-based recipes, growing heirloom fruits and vegetables, tennis, hiking, kayaking, writing, and mission trips. She recently traveled to Tanzania to work at an orphanage for several months and has visited and assisted with treating rare and unusual conditions seen in middle east refugees housed at a Greek refugee camp. She has plans to return to Africa to assist in building and staffing a Wellness Clinic.

Around 2008, she met Jann and Stan Abrams. Since that time, Dr. Abrams has actively mentored her in alternative and energy medicine which includes using high voltage electron transfer to treat venomous bites. In 2019, Dr. Abrams passed along his files for treating venomous bites to Crystal, in hopes she would continue to promote the technology. It was at that time Crystal, her father Wesley Whitten and Dr. Stan Abrams started the patent process and were granted a patent in 2022 for a small handheld electronic device to be used in desensitizing venom, an improved version of the device Dr. Abrams has used since the 1990s. The three of them have worked on this project for over 3 years and the project is in the early stages of multiple prototype development with several different engineering groups, parts acquisition and production. It is her desire, using this small electronic device, to help as many people as possible avoid the long-term complications related to venomous bites and stings, whether they live in Sri Lanka, India, Continental Africa or anywhere in the world where people are plagued by venomous biting and stinging creatures.
