We have used the Snake Doctor modified stun gun several times with great success on fire ant bites.  My wife is very sensitive to fire ant venom and if a bite is left untreated, it swells terribly with intense pain that continues to spread over many days.  After a couple of days, she develops a fever and describes a pain that is as though there was a raw nerve being chewed on.  However, if the bite is immediately treated with a single, quick Snake Doctor zap, the fire ant bite has no effect other than a small red mark that disappears after a couple of days.  In the cases where we didn’t immediately do a treatment, the Snake Doctor treatment stopped the symptoms and within a half hour she was starting to feel better.
